Privacy Policy

At SalahBreak, we value privacy as a trust (أمانة) and handle all user data with the highest level of care and respect.
Our system is designed to use only the basic information necessary to provide the service, nothing more.

1. Data We Access

When you connect SalahBreak with your Google account, the app accesses only the minimal data required to function:

  1. Your Google account email for authentication.
  2. Access to your Google Calendar to create and manage SalahBreak prayer break events.

We do not access, read, or analyze any existing calendar content. SalahBreak only adds or removes its own events as part of the service you request.

2. How We Use the Data

The data is used exclusively to:

  1. Verify your identity and connect SalahBreak with your Google account.
  2. Add, update, or delete SalahBreak’s prayer-break events in your calendar.
  3. No other use of your Google data is made.

3. Data Retention

SalahBreak does not store any Google Calendar data on its servers.
Once an event is created or deleted in your calendar, the operation is completed immediately, and no copy is kept.
Temporary data (if any) is automatically cleared right after the synchronization process ends.

4. Data Sharing

Your information is never shared, sold, or disclosed to anyone.
We do not integrate with third parties that access your calendar or personal information.

5. Data Protection

All communication between SalahBreak and Google is encrypted using secure HTTPS (TLS).
We apply strict security standards to prevent unauthorized access to your Google account.
To protect sensitive data such as authentication tokens and Calendar event data:

  1. OAuth tokens are stored securely during the session and are never written to logs, databases, or permanent storage.
  2. Tokens are automatically removed when the session ends or when access is revoked.
  3. We request only the minimal scope required to function: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events
  4. We do not access or read any existing calendar events or sensitive metadata.
  5. No Google Calendar data is stored on our servers at any time.

Because we do not store user data, no personal or calendar information exists on our servers after operations are completed.

6. Data Deletion and User Control

You are always in full control:

  1. You can disconnect SalahBreak’s access at any time through your Google Account permissions page:
  2. https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
  3. You can also email [email protected] for any questions.

Since SalahBreak does not retain any user data, deletion requests are processed instantly.

7. Our Commitment

SalahBreak was built to help Muslims manage their prayer time with peace of mind.
We operate with transparency and integrity, ensuring that:

  1. We never store or read your private calendar content.
  2. We never analyze or use your Google data for any purpose other than adding or deleting SalahBreak prayer events.
  3. We follow the principle of minimal data use — only what is needed to make the service work.

8. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to ensure compliance with legal and technical standards.
Any significant updates will be clearly announced inside the app or via email before taking effect.

9. Contact
